Summer Cycle School

Chris HoyImage by johnthescone via Flickr

Monday not only saw the launch of our cycle tours, but also the Aberlady Summer Cycle School. For the next two weeks, from Monday to Wednesday (11.00 - 12.30) we will be running a cycle skills course, accredited by British Cycling.

This is based on the Go-Ride programme, and is designed to give beginner and intermediate cyclists the confidence and skills to be able to ride safely on and off the road.

We had a great first session today at Aberlady Sea Green and hope to see more kids there in future. Hopefully we'll continue to be as lucky with the weather as we were today - only Alasdair (the coach) got wet at the end of the session!

We also plan to run a cycle school in Gullane and North Berwick towards the end of the school holidays - more details to come.

Our coaches are fully Disclosure checked and presently hold the British Cycling Level 2 Trainee Coach qualification.

Get in touch if you're interested. You never know, you may have a budding Chris Hoy sitting at home just waiting to be discovered!
